HID OCR315-E

The HID OCR315-E is a compact and reliable ID scanner specifically designed for the fast and accurate capture of machine-readable travel documents (MRPs), visas, national identity cards, and international residence permits. It supports documents conforming to ICAO-9303 specification (parts 1–4) with 2- and 3-line MRZ, as well as driver’s licenses with single-line MRZ according to ISO 18013-1.

Thanks to its single-slot design and optimized track guidance, passports and ID cards are guided cleanly and read reliably, while green and red LED indicators as well as acoustic signals inform the user about successful or incorrect readings.

The OCR315-E impresses with its compact design, requiring minimal space on counters, switches, or mobile workstations, and can be flexibly mounted freestanding, on a table, or via VESA monitor mounts. Connectivity is straightforward via USB, enabling quick integration into existing systems, while firmware updates can be easily installed.

Typical applications include border and security checks, airport check-in, hotel or rental car registrations, banks and financial institutions, as well as government agencies or polling stations.
