MIFARE DESFire EV1 Chip Card

The MIFARE DESFire EV1 RFID card is a development by NXP. It is an RFID transponder with a frequency of 13.56 MHz, a memory of 2 kB to 8 kB, and a high security standard.

MIFARE DESFire is always the first choice when multiple and complex RFID card applications with high security requirements and fast communication are to be combined. Up to 28 different applications with 32 files per application can be stored on one card.

The MIFARE DESFire EV1 chips offer 3DES and modern AES encryption for the highest contactless security of your data. Data transfer rates of 848 kbit/s can be achieved. An automatic anti-tear mechanism also guarantees the highest possible data integrity of completed transactions.

The DESFire chip’s serial number (UID) is 7 digits, unique, and unchangeable. The chip reading range of MIFARE DESFire cards is typically 10 cm.

The MIFARE DESFire is particularly frequently used in applications with payment functions and in public transport. Parking management with payment functions via a DESFire card is just one example of an application with a high level of security.
