NXP MIFARE Technology
MIFARE is a product family of contactless RFID chips that operate in the 13.56 MHz (HF) frequency range according to ISO/IEC 14443. MIFARE chips are primarily used in contactless card systems, such as public transport, access control systems, and micropayment solutions.
MIFARE technology offers high security standards with encryption technologies such as DES, 3DES, and AES. MIFARE operates according to the NFC standard for short communication distances of up to 10 cm.
YouCard offers all common MIFARE chip types, such as MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus, MIFARE DESFire, and MIFARE Ultralight.
NXP HITAG Technology
HITAG is another NXP product family based on low frequency (LF, 125 kHz). This technology is primarily used for applications requiring a longer range and robust data transmission.
The HITAG standard supports various authentication mechanisms, with lower security levels than MIFARE. The technology is supported by many system integrators and is ideal for medium security requirements.
