The world’s smallest ID card reader! The rf IDEAS WAVE ID Nano reader offers all the functionality of desktop and surface-mount readers in an ultra-compact format. The reader is available with a conventional USB-A connector or in an even smaller USB-C version for newer laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Both options feature an ultra-compact profile to minimize physical interference or breakage. Additionally, the USB-C version meets select MIL-STD-810 requirements to withstand extreme altitudes, temperatures, humidity, dust, vibration, shock, and freeze/thaw cycles.
Due to their small size, WAVE ID Nano readers can also be easily embedded into monitors, all-in-one PCs, and other hardware. Designed for mobility on the go, they enable healthcare, government, manufacturing, and enterprise workers to work remotely or move freely in any environment while keeping valuable information reliably protected.
The USB-format Nano ID reader is available in either 125 kHz proximity or 13.56 MHz contactless formats and includes all the features of the WAVE ID Solo readers. Its small size makes it easy for mobile workers to get their work done while adhering to organizational policies for authentication, identification, and access.
Like all rf IDEAS products, the WAVE ID Nano reader is backward compatible – it integrates seamlessly into existing 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz systems without the need to create new applications. The reader is designed and developed to read virtually all smart card technologies.
The WAVE ID Nano Reader is FIDO2 compatible and therefore ideal for passwordless authentication.
