The WAVE ID Solo card readers were developed for customers who want to use their existing card systems for applications beyond access control. The rf IDEAS WAVE ID Solo reader is used for identification, authentication, and access control applications.
The read-only readers are designed for use with virtually all contactless smart card technologies. The 13.56 MHz model is compatible with most contactless smart cards, and the 125 kHz proximity model provides error-free identification of over 300 million physical access cards in use worldwide.
Plug-and-play functionality and seamless integration
By connecting directly to a USB port, the WAVE ID Solo keystroke reader emulates a keyboard and outputs card data at the cursor position on the screen. The reader can be configured to add keystrokes before and after the card data.
The WAVE ID Solo reader integrates easily into existing credential systems. The WAVE ID Solo reader supports the ISO 14443 and ISO 15693 standards for access control, secure printing, time and attendance, and cashless payment. This reader is also available with a serial or virtual USB COM interface and delivers the card data in ASCII.
Developer-Friendly SDK
Integrate the reader into your software or hardware product using the rf IDEAS Universal Software Developer’s Kit (SDK). In contrast to the keystroke model, the SDK or non-keystroke reader transmits the raw card data and offers virtually unlimited possibilities for user identification and authentication.
