At YouCard, you can get plastic cards equipped with a magnetic stripe on one side, similar to bank cards. This stripe, together with a PIN (Personal Identification Number), is used for identification and authorization of individuals. The magnetic stripe cards can be encoded with anonymous or personal information, which can be read by card readers.
YouCard offers a variety of card printers that come with integrated magnetic stripe encoders, allowing you to encode magnetic cards yourself. Additionally, magnetic card readers for retrofitting many card printers are also available.
Important information about Magnetic Cards
Magnetic cards come in three variants that differ in their magnetic field strength (Oersted). The higher the density, the better the data is protected against accidental erasure or interference from magnetic fields. Magnetic stripe cards are available in “LoCo” with 300 Oe, “HiCo” with 2750 Oe, and “Super HiCo” with 4000 Oe. At YouCard, you can get both blank unprinted cards for your own printing, encoding, and personalization as well as fully encoded plastic cards with magnetic stripes in your desired design.
