RFID tags are memory chips which are connected to an RFID antenna for radio transmission and can be read and written without contact. The RFID transponders are supplied with energy in an active or passive way: In the case of an active supply, the chip receives the energy via an integrated battery, whereas the passive supply voltage takes place via energy transmission of the RFID reader. The usual transmission frequencies of the RFID tags are 125 KHz and 13.56 MHz. Regarding the size of RFID tags or their carrier material, we offer you a wide variety of forms of appearance – from the smallest tags with a size of 3 mm to conventional, self-adhesive label-shaped tags.
RFID technologies, as well as the use of RFID tags, realize the concept Industry 4.0: The technology provides a clear identification of raw materials, machines and containers, guarantees a reliable location of the goods and handle the digital communication of numerous parameters and information. Thus, the technology forms the basis of intelligent and comprehensive system processes – because only clearly identifiable and localizable products, tools, machines, etc., can form an intelligent and automatically networked system with full information transparency.
