The Evolis Primacy 2 card printer is a versatile, fast card printer that meets the most modern requirements.

Primacy 2 integrates sublimation technology for producing color plastic cards and thermal transfer printing for monochrome cards. In addition to these two technologies, the printer offers the ability to go one step further. With the Primacy 2, you can print on rewritable cards—thanks to Thermo-Rewrite technology. This feature, standard on the Primacy 2, allows you to print, erase, and reprint a card up to 500 times in just a few seconds.

This cost-effective and practical use is especially relevant for issuing cards and badges that are time-limited or need to be updated regularly.

The printing speed of up to 280 cards per hour combined with the 100- or 200-card hopper are the main advantages of the Primacy 2. They provide a high level of productivity and autonomy. At the same time, the high-resolution printing mode together with the color profile that closely matches actual colors ensures excellent rendering on all cards.

Thanks to its modular design, the Primacy 2 card printer can be expanded at any time with additional modules such as a duplex printing module, 200-card hopper, encoders, lamination module, or LCD display.

From simple to highly secure cards—the Evolis Primacy 2 ID printer can do it all. Depending on your requirements, you determine the desired security level:

Encoders: Using various encoders, encoding of contact and contactless chips as well as magnetic stripes can be performed.

UV Effect: With the special YMCKOO ribbon or the overlay layer of standard ribbons combined with the lamination module, you can add a UV effect to your cards to give them a higher security level.

Double Overlay: A double overlay layer means optimized durability for your printed cards. This double varnish layer offers enhanced protection against wear and abrasion. The abrasion resistance is three times higher than that of a standard YMCKO ribbon.

Lamination Module: The lamination module, which can be ordered with your Primacy 2 or added later, allows the integration of advanced security and protective elements (varnish, patches, generic or customized holograms). The lamination module is essential equipment to achieve an optimal level of security and durability.

Scanner: To check the printed cards, you can use the scanner to verify that the elements on your cards are correctly printed and to track the print process.

When you personalize a card with personal data, this data is sent to the printer to start the personalization. After the printing process, this information remains readable on the ribbon. How can you ensure that no data remains accessible—neither digitally in the printer memory nor physically on the ribbon? The Evolis Primacy 2 guarantees this with two technologies:

Kineclipse: Confidential information on the ribbon is rendered unreadable after printing.
